I still see the active bug in the record locking listed on the Wine site, and obviously this is an issue that needs to be addressed for VFP on Linux to really take off, however if a bunch of us start talking up the technology and add our voices to those requesting this fix, it is more likely to be fixed sooner.
I tried a setup with Wine a few months ago and could not get it going at all, so the more recent Wine builds have taken a major jump where VFP is concerned. I certainly did not expect the first versions of VFP on Linux to be perfect, but I am happy to see movement in the right direction. In all fairness, even with over a decade of development on WinTel machines there are still a few issues :)
