That's typical if you change the VFP environment via the Tools > Options dialog. The runtime always uses the default settings whereas the development environment uses whatever is stored in the registry. Some settings do have impact on execution speed; most notably the SET COLLATE command. If it different than in the index files, Rushmore is disabled and every query takes a long time. The EXE uses "MACHINE" unless you change that in your application. Maybe your IDE uses "GENERAL"?
