Thanks Sergey, for your comments as well.

The Server Agent is on, and I have set up user accounts with access to the database etc. How do I allow SQL authentication other than that. I know that when a database is being set up, there are places where you can inticate the authentication, buyt I am not sure where to do it after the fact. I have looked in the help guide, but have been unable to pull that info out of the huge listing that comes up under this topic.
