>I don't see a reason to use SQLCOLUMNS() if you want to get structure of VFP cursor even if it was created from Sql Server table.

The only reason would be to get the structure as is from the backend with the relevant details. For me, AFIELD() applied on the empty cursor, with the use of SQL passthrough, does the job.
