Michel, the article at
http://www.itworld.com/Comp/2444/030319win2000patch/ says that you will not be able to re-boot
at all if the patch is applied on a W2K system which is incompatible so I dont think thats your problem: "If the patch is installed on a system with the incompatible file, the machine will fail on the first reboot and will have to be recovered using the Windows 2000 recovery console, Microsoft said."
To be sure you can check your ntoskrnl.exe file: "Versions of this file from 5.0.2195.4797 up to and including 5.0.2195.4928 were distributed by PSS and are not compatible with the patch, according to Microsoft"
I think you have another issue :(
>Yesterday, I rebooted so the new security patch installed from windowsupdate.com would take effect. However, after the reboot, I also installed SQL Server. Today, for 3 times, I had to reboot as my Internet connection is completed corrupted after a while.

>I saw today a note in our Web site which mentions an issue with the latest security update patch. Could it be related to that or it could come from SQL Server?
