I am not talking about what has been done in the past, but about what should be done in the future.
Specifically, international cooperation should be sought to solve the different problems of the World.
Just imagine that there was a difference of opinion between two of the states, in the United States. Would you agree that one of the states attack another one directly, or do you think the problem should be resolved on a higer level (through the federal government)? Personally, I find the second alternative preferable. Similarly, the problems of the World should be solved through a World Government, World Federation, or something similar.
This hasn't happened in the past (at least, not to a sufficient degree), but this is exactly what should be sought.
