Can anyone explain where the SecurityDBC_Name setting to a "Security Database Key" is used in the frameworks security behavior?

It appears to be ignored altogether. I've set it to a main project (and database) from my other projects (and their own database), but secure controls are added to the the active projects mmcntrls table as well as the iControliid - not the database pointed to by SecurityDBC_Name.

How is the SecurityDBC_Name setting used?
