Do you need it checked in VFP in case it is opened in another app?

In CodeMine I would normally check for this field validation somewhere in the Rule. Check out FieldValid(), IsEditAllowed(), etc. You can do...case... the cWorkArea and the cField and return .F. or .T. to allow-stop the edit.
