Good evening Robin

A shot in the dark, but I am wondering if the problem is not with the Exe, but rather with the time it takes your application to find files or directories. Is there anything about your exe build that might be causing the code to traverse directories and subdirectories looking for tables or files? For example, if you develop with local data, VFP stores relative pathing in the Pjx. If you develop with data on a server, the Pjx hard codes the path to the data. If the files are not at that location, I suspect that VFP then searchs along your SET PATH looking for the files.

Another thought. If you data is remote or on a server, do the workstations have persistent connections to the data source?, or are they having to frequently re establish a connection as they call for a data set?

Good luck
