Thanks for the kind words Jim. I believe strongly in both our democracy and our capitalist society -- with all its faults. It is because of this being a democracy that every person has the right to voice his/her opinion and even demonstrate if he/she so chooses. It is clear that everyone does not agree with the state of current political affairs and we each have the right to state whether we do or not. Yet, I would hope those interactions would not turn into targeting individuals for their viewpoints. The free exchange of information and ideas does not sway someone to your side when they do. I don't have to agree with what every individual states just as they do not have to agree with me, but we all have a right to state our viewpoints. Many do not participate in these political disscussions in the chatter section and do not even like them ocurring. It is a personal choice to participate or not--the chatter section can be ignored if someone so chooses--after all, it is just chatter. :o) On a personal note, I have two cousins in the desert now, my co-worker's brother is a helicopter pilot over there, I have many friends there (spread out all over the desert now), and my daughter's father is in Kabul for a year. Regardless of whether or not I agree with our country's foreign policies, those individuals have my complete support and I wish them all well and a safe return.

Take Care!

>I wish to thank you, Tracy, for having the courage to state what I have been thinking and keeping to myself since this thread degenerated to this point.

>I, personally, do what I can - at the voting booth. After that, we live with what the majority has chosen. I too am getting a bit testy at the "You" and "Your" inferences, that we each are responsible for our government's actions.

>> I am? Are you responsible for everything your government does? Of course if I am personally responsible, then I will have to hop a plane and go over there myself then and stop Saddam myself from performing any more acts against humanity. Oh that's right, I cannot--there are no commercial flights into Bahgdad anymore... too bad. I'll just have to let the military handle it I guess. So nice of you to have the knowledge, power, and authority to let me know what my responsibilities are Fernando. thank you.
