>Michel, while I know that it is possible that almost anything could be causing your problems I'd like to let you know on some of my experiences recently. We have approximately Over 100 small business clients that use either DSL or cablemodem access to the internet. On so many occasions that I cannot count, we have sent technicians out to their locations to troubleshoot problems. In almost all occasions, the cable company has informed us that there were no problems on their end and it must be local. Funny though, after making no changes on our end (because we could not locate any problems) after 24-72 hours the problems would just go away. It seems that a call to the cable company was necessary to get the ball rolling, but they have never (except during times of maitenance) admitted to any problems on their end. Same with the DSL provider.

The support given for residential connection versus the one for commercial is simply a comparaison between days and nights. That includes the level of knowledge from the technicians, the time you wait to receive an answer, the time to find the problem, the way they adapat, etc. It's so poor that I can't even find the proper term to describe it. Yes, you're right, it might well be the case.
