Most Email application do not open themselves up for scripting. It is a security liability as well as a lot more work for the developers.
AOL does not open themselves up for many reasons. There are ways of course, but basically it comes to sending messages to the windows pretending like a user is clicking the buttons.
If you want to send email easily and without hassle, I suggest checking out SMTP Wizard. It is an OCX that talks directly to the mail servers.
