Hi Peter,

According to VFP7 Readme.htm "You must install Visual FoxPro on a local hard drive". The Windows Installer Runtime Resource Resiliency (self-healing) is one of the reasons of that requitement. It kicks in every time Windows detects that some application components are missing and tries to repair it.

>I recently installed VFP7 on a network disk. I haven't used it extensively yet but I've had no problems until now.

>I just noticed that if that network disk is not available, I have lots of trouble with Internet Explorer 5.50. When I start up IE or when I call my ISP, I get a pop-up box trying to install VFP7. Sometimes this happens for no obvious reason.

>The install box is persistent and I have to keep cancelling it.
