I am not sure whether it really is a good idea, and I only mentioned it for completeness sake (since you asked).
I created a simple input form for a single variable (I don't post it here, since it isn't really well developed), and for anything more complicated, I created a separate form. You see, when more than one value is involved, I often want to have more control over details - like exact placement on the form, validation, etc.
It may work for you, though.
