No, I think you misunderstood my note to George. I was actually agreeing that the clipboard is not really cleared because the empty string doesn't clear out all handles, it merely replaces the bitmap handles with its own handles. Also, though, I was trying to point out that the empty string will replace any type of clipboard data, and not just text data as I think George was intimating.

Thanks to you and George (who brought it up in first place) I now understand something about the clipboard that I hadn't even considered until now.
