>Packing the project.pjx did the trick. I spent a few minutes trying to open project.pjt with no success and then figured that if I pack the .prx file, it will take care of its .pjt memo file. That turned out to be the case and I was able to compile the project.

No, you cant open the .pjt file. I meant what you did above, open the .pjx (which is actually a .dbf) and pack it.
