>The point is that all those anti-war demonstrations are bad for the morale of the Americans and British soldiers, and are 'good' for the morale of the Iraqi soldiers. This will have a negative impact on the development of the war: more people will gonna die on both sides. Mark my words!
Peter,
MOST people participating in the ANTI-war demonstrations believe fervently that they are SUPPORTING the soldiers FAR FAR MORE than those who participate in pro-war or pro-president or pro-soldier demonstrations!
The ANTI-war want to have their soldiers HOME as soon as possible whereas all of the others want their soldiers to FIGHT!
This is, of course, a difficult position for the ANTI-war people, simply because ANTI-war is immediately defined, by both the media and the pro-war forces at play, as ANTI-American and ANTI-soldier and ANTI-authority of the Presidency.
As soon as the war started, people started to die. Once you reach the number 1, then any additional deaths or mutilations, sadly, carry less impact as they become simple statistics to those who are far removed from the actual action.
This is a most complicated issue but it is very apparent that those who designed and initiated this war have little actual regard for the deaths. Oh, they will of course say that they do, but the very action of initiating a WAR proves otherwise most definitively!
