Alan,
I took the AppDev course about 2 years ago, and found it very useful for a general introduction to VFP. Jim Booth provided the training, and he is good. The course does not cover every minute detail of VFP, but gave me a very solid base to work from. I've been programming for over 40 years, and have had to change my "linear programming" logic to OOP, and that's not easy.
In addition to the AppDev course, I joined our local FoxPro users group, (AFUG, Austin FoxPro Users Group), which is another valuable asset for my education. Also, I have gotten several books from Hentzenwerke. From those three sources, I now classify myself as a "journeyman" Visual FoxPro programmer, and am still learning.
HTH,
Harry
