I am not sure I understood you correctly but here is my idea which is similar to the solution proposing declaring as public a mem var assigned to the screen but I am using the name option in do form instead:

DO FORM frmNomodal name ofrmNomodal

* that will assign a memory variable which will be in scope in all code snippets of the Modal form when called from this form without having to declare it as public.

One practice I try to stick to is rely on as few as possible of public memory variable not becuase of memory concerns but it makes code more maintainable.

I see you live in Istanbul, that is one city I wish to visit. A lot of history, culture, fine cuisine and decent folks.
