Hi Phil,
I would charge for travel time if it takes me over an hour to get to the client's site.
If traveling, I would present the client with various options for travel and hotel and allow them to choose whatever they would prefer. While airplanes are pretty much all the same, I do have hotel preferences (i.e. I'm not a bed & breakfast or Inn person - they may be cute, but I'd rather be really comfortable and have room service).

>Just curious as to how many of you charge when you have to travel to the client site. This is if you're charging hourly instead of flat fee.
>Do you charge for the travel time?
>If so, do you charge your full rate or a scaled down rate?
>What about travel across country or out of the country?
