>We have tried that for years. We hoped they would be able to overthrow Saddam after the 1991 Gulf War. They were not able to. Saddam controls the country's oil, therefore it's money, therefore the money to fund the army. We hoped that sanctions may weaken him enough for him to be overthrown. It did not work.

The US (and the UN) has far more money than Iraq

>We do. It is hard for the Iraqis to fight an army with words.

It's far easier for a dictator to control an non-educated population than an educated one. I am sure that Saddam would have had a lot more difficulties staying at the head of it's country if each Iraqies was aware of his real nature.

>They are supporting us. Kuwait is allowing us to base thousands of troops in their country. Saudi Arabia is allowing us to use at least one of their air bases for support operations. Turkey is allowing us to use their airspace for attacks on Saddam. There are reports of U.S. troops in Jordan, but I cannot confirm that.

Turkey was a last call shot. A majority of the population is mad against their government for their turnaround. Jordan is not very pleased with the current situation the last report I've heard. Many citizens from different arabic countries are going to Iraq to help Iraq fighting the US.
