C-SPAN is a producer of public affairs television programming distributed by cable and satellite. “C-SPAN” is an acronym for “Cable Satellite Public Affairs Network” and is a non-profit educational organization. They typically broadcast live or delayed congressional hearings and also have talk shows etc. They have been airing CBC's 'The National' nightly and presenting a call-in talk show following it for discussion. I found the program very interesting and similar in format to our 60 minutes.
