I don't think they could afford to hire the staff it would require to be courteous everytime they post one more job...it is a sad state of affairs to be sure. You cannot tell if a corporation even received your resume with no feedback. For all you know, it could have gone into file 13 by the mailroom clerk...
>I can certainly sympathize with dealing with the flood of resumes, but whatever happened to common courtesy?

>>I know of one company that filled a position about 6 months ago. They quit sending out thank you or any type of acknowledgement letters after receiving resumes because during their last posted position, they received over 1000 resumes. Now THAT is competition!
>>
>>>>What is bad, is that you never get any replies from anyone for any jobs you apply for... not one......
>>>
>>>I noticed that during my recent search. Used to be, you'd at least get a polite form letter 'thank you for your interest - we'll keep your resume on file' sort of response.
>>>
>>>These days: nada.
