Well, I did that and you are right ... the codes are there for me to inspect.
That is the good news.
The bad news is that each table of contents entry is comprised of about 25 lines code with numerous style sheet values, etc ...
I would have to take a course on just this topic to deal with it.
Unless I can somehow disregard 95% of that code, I am afraid that is not going to work.
Depending upon some trade-offs here, it might be possible to simply build a table of contents at the very end from within WORD.
