That sort of thing did work in one specific case: adding a Refresh method to your label class in VFP3 would cause it to be fired with all the other Refreshes. This was "fixed" in 5, though, and it's the only case I can think of where adding a custom property or method did something automatically.
BTW, Label.Refresh
has returned in VFP8.
