From the VFP8 RTM I downloaded from MSDN, I am now trying to install the MSDE that came with the download. I get an error that says a strong SQ password is required and to use the SAPWD switch to supply the same. OK, so I co to the RUN command and type: E:\SQLMSDE\setup.exe SAPWD=mypassword and hit enter. The install goes along and looks like it gets to 100% then the progress bar starts reversing itself back to zero percent. This is my new Dell desktop running Win2k SP3 that has been locked down [crippled] by our IT staff. However, I am doing this install with Admin privs. Anyone know if I am not specifying this switch properly?
