Why not create a mechanism whereby a textfile with a predetermined name is written to the server, and the VFP app checks every so often, perhaps via a timer control in the menu or somewhere, for the existance of this file. If found, it reads it and displays the message, maybe using MessageBox with an OK button. The mechanism that creates the message can wait a certain amount of time and then delete the text file.
Just a thought.

>A Broadcast Message is sent now to all signed on users of the applications. It is not stored for later retrieval. So any current user of the application would get the message. Something like "The XXXXX application is coming down in 10 minutes for maintenance.". I do not want someone who signs on after the broadcast to receive the message.
