Rumors? Heavens no! Stuffing the ballet box was a way of life in those days. I saw a documentary a few months ago about LBJ and Texas politics.

When I was stationed at Goodfellow AFB, at San Angelo, Texas, I got an ear full of what people thought of LBJ. In 1965-66 he was not liked as he had condemned the land on either side of his property (eminent domain). The adjoining land belonged to the grandson’s of men who along with LBJ’s grandfather, were the founders of Johnson City, Texas. These men grew up with LBJ and were not happy! By the way the guy that LBJ beat in his early years as a politician was really “interesting”.

By the way LBJ is my least favorite President U.S.A. 58,000 - Vietnamese 3,000,000. My friends and fellow Americans!
