Hi Albert,

VFP is a good choice. I'd suggest, however, modifying the code, and let VFP do the business rules and any client side data manipulation necessary. This will allow you to utilize .NET where needed, and reduce the changes required if some of the data needs to be rendered over the Intranet/Internet.

It sounds like you've got a two tier problem for the most part, and VFP seems to be moving to accomodate that particular type of environment.

Don't, however, think that simply moving the back-end to SQL Server or whatever, means that there's no place for native Fox tables. They can be utilized to use any meta data on the client side that's required. This reduces the network calls that might otherwise be needed.
