Any way to automate the compact operation of a Access 2000 MDB using ADO/OLE DB Provider ? If not, any other method to automate it ?

I have a program to post transactions to a Access MDB using ADO. I realized the file size of the MDB increased tremendouslly from 15 mega to 170 mega after 5 hours of program run posting about 10000 HL7 (HealthCare data format) messages. The program/database performance degraded greatly at the file size. And the file size was reduced to 16 mega after I compacted maually it and performance came back. Any idea?
