Very interesting, and a bit scary. Although it is undoubtedly a somewhat biased view of the situation, it also conveys a sense of objectivity and authoritativeness. It makes one realize just how one-sided the reporting is that we're seeing here!
The last part was even more surprising and disturbing than what it says about the war in Iraq. In a very matter-of-fact way, the article continues with the strategic lessons of Iraq as they pertain to the scenario of a war between the Russia and the US, clearly from a defensive perspective. Do the Russians seriously imagine that the Americans would contemplate invading them?!
It was also enlightening to read some of the discussion that follows the article in a series of anonymous postings. Not the average man-in-the-street remarks from Anytown, USA.
All-in-all, this article was more informative and thought-provoking than anything else I've seen or heard about what's going on in Iraq from any of the so-called "news" media. Thanks for keeping us informed!
