Hey, that's great, Jim! I didn't realize you were really using it, but I'm very happy you've found it helpful. I'm so preoccupied with its inadequacies and imperfections, all I can think about is ways to improve it. Unfortunately I've been diverted from programming for much longer than I'd have liked, but I hope to get on with a major series of enhancements very soon. First, I must endure the annual ordeal of income taxes!

Well I never really gave much thought to the idea that the Russians might fear a US invasion, and I doubt that even the most hawkish Americans would advocate such an attack. The scary thing is that if the Russians considered this a significant threat even before Iraq, which seems to be the implication of their off-hand reference to "strategic lessons", then surely their concerns have been greatly reinforced. It's starting to sound like a revival of the cold war... at best.
