How is that 'having your cake and eating it too?' Even if I accuse a mass-murderer of being a mass-murderer I can still be shocked at his/her behavior because it disgusts me. That does not change his actions or my reactions to them. I think we hoped that with all of the media attention that Saddam would obey the rules of war (granted for the first time) to prevent losing the support of the Arab world. However, that will not happen since international media refuses to air any of these abuses or calls them faked or old footage from the 1st Gulf war. It is true, however, since the ‘laws of war’ include not invading another nation, but we claim Iraq is violating the laws of war ourselves, that is definitely having my cake and eating too!
