Hi Jim,

This discussion has been taking place over the last number of months in other forums on the 'net - particularly in regard to .NET. I didn't see the clause the sparked the argument but there was a discussion around whether or not distribution of binaries created using a MS technology was permitted to non MS platforms. I don't remember the outcome of the discussion but it was pretty vitriolic.

Some people take the view that this is unenforceable as MS are forcing people to use/buy one product in order to use another product. Coming from an organisation that has already been convicted of monopoly practices I doubt that they'd be able to enforce it for long before it gets challenged.

Regards,

Liam
