An application that is being converted to SQL Server 2000 shares some data with the client's AccPac accounting system. The accounting system's data is in VFP7 tables contained in a VFP database. The editing of SQL data will primarily be accessed through parameterized remote views stored in a single DBC. What's the best way to handle access the AccPac tables for editing? Can the views of AccPac data be included in the same DBC? Any tricks to handling the updates of the AccPac data? I confess to having no experience with data in a VFP database. All of the apps I've written either use SQL data or still have data in 2.x style tables.

Also, I read in another thread the suggestion that each user have his own copy of the DBC containint the views. Is this necessary/recommended? I haven't encountered problems with accessing a single copy of the DBC. Am I just very lucky?

Thanks for any pointers.
