No, I didn't upgrade to Pro. It's my home box and all the work I do connected with Intranet/Internet development is done here.

I've heard that it's a mistake to try to upgrade from Home to Pro. What the exact problems are, I don't know. In my case, backing everything up, doing a complete wipe of the drive then installing Pro, then restoring everything was too much of a hassle.

No, I haven't done any research in components costs since I got my home box last August. So any information I'd have is out-of-date.
