I have a table, let's say its called employees, that contains a unique identifier for a record in another table (company) that is the company id. In the second table is the company id and company name. I create a grid when accessing the first table that contains the company id and I display the company name with a UDF. I want to create an index on the first table, employee, that is based upon this UDF. I have placed the UDF in the stored procedures section. It calls it fine, but it is not indexing the table properly, i.e. it is not following the sorted order of the company name. Any ideas?
