This is the second time this has happened to me, but the first time I could remember the steps I had done since I first opened VFP. Unfortunately, I just tried to replicate it, but couldn't, at least for the moment. I'm trying again, however.

I had retrieved using a parameterized remote view a data set from SQL Server 2000. Basically, this view is read-only because "Send SQL Updates" is false. Against the returned result set, I retrieved a smaller result set with a SQL statement from VFP. I then issued another query to determine the number of occurences of different style numbers. Finally, I exported 2 of the fields from the second query to an Excel file.

I did about an hour's work with the Excel file, then went back to VFP to do some other work. I issued CLOSE TABLES ALL, and VFP immediately shutdown. It left 3 temp files behind and didn't save the command window results.

Anyone seen anything similar?
