Just for completeness sake, did you try setting the grid's backcolor to something other than the column's desired backcolor after the column's backcolor was set the way you wanted?


No, I didn't. It worked when I set it in the column init, so I left it alone. I'm not in a good position to try that right now, but if you want I can try it later and see what it does.
