No, it's up to you. I just figured I should warn you. Interestingly though, when I tried setting the backcolor of the column in the column's init while I was trying to figure this out, it didn't work for me.

Hmmm.... but now it does. I must have done something differently before. The caveat about changing the grid backcolor still applies though.
