But a database in vfp is a table.
There's a bit of terminology I wish the folks a MS would straighten out. I've notice people who started back in the old FoxPro days keep calling tables databases. Which is confusing to those of us who call DBC's databases. I guess strictly speaking, a DBC is a database "container", which would make the contained tables "databases", but that is different from the way every other database I've ever heard of does things.
I once had a client panic when I told him his app didn't have a database. He knew just enough about FoxPro to be dangerous and thought that meant I wasn't storing any of his data. LOL! It seems funny in retrospect, but it _is_ confusing and would be nice if they'd update the naming to match everyone else.
