But I DO want Intellisense to function in all but only a select few cases. What I was trying to find out was what character can be used instead of space between words which is considered a separator but will not trigger Intellisense.

In those cases, do you not want intellisense to ever fire? If so, you could go into the table and delete those entries. I did that for SELECT because I got annoyed by the big box that would come up.

Another possibility is to change those entries to scripts. Then you can control when they fire and don't fire it if it's in the command window.
