after the end of the military regime, many "new facts", that were hidden till that time, came to light, like the participation of the US government and the CIA in the start of the '64 military revollution.
Of course you don't ignore the interference of the US government supporting Latin America's dictatorships.
The history is told (written) by those that win the war. When you get rid of those "winners" eventually a new history may be told (or written).
