For some reason I am having trouble making the links works so below is the text of the thread:

I've also seen this problem with gif giles. Transparency appears white on some computers (not all). I tracked down this problem to the color depth setting of the video card. If you set the color depth to 32bits colors instead of 16 or 24bits, you get this problem.
