I >assumed< from all the problems I've had trying to implement this that there was some logical but unwritten rule why local views based upon a VFP dbc and remote views couldn't co-exist in the same database. Somehow, the VFP data seems to be double buffered and the updates aren't always written through to the source tables. If you say this should work I'll delete the local views and start again.

Thanks for the tip on the system clause of the set reprocess command. I haven't had concurrency problems but don't need to press my luck.
