Thanks Jos for responding. DynamicInputMask with / without setfocus(0 did not work for me, but sparse .F. worked the first time round. I want to avoid sparse .f. if possible, but then dynamicinputmask which is populated alright does not seem to display.

Now that you have been through all this any advise.
