It's funny, if he was playing a guitar for 9 days, or just watching TV for 9 days, then collapsed, would it still get reported?
I wish "they" will realise that computer games don't "force" you to stay glued to them for 24 hours or more, yes, they are addictive, but it is the responsibility of the person that should know when enough is enough.
Singling out computer games and trying to categorise them outside TV, Video, DVD, Cinema and general entertainment is getting a bit old now, it's just another form of entertainment and IMO easily one of the best.
