Feeling some guilt at having pointed you to that paragraph that now turns out to be a "documentation error". Wishing too that it had been pointed out to be so earlier.

In any case, I think you should consider a bug report or ER (wish) to have the product perform in accordance with the documentation rather than have the documentation amended to remove the statement.
