Hi Michael,

I'm having a similar problem to yours. My install goes well but when I try to run the vfp8 compiled exe it complains about an invalid or corrupt copy of vfp8r.dll

I'm thinking that somehow this file did not get overwritten with a newer runtime when I installed the release version over the Beta ?

vfp8r.dll Size Datetime
4,192 kb 1/21/2003 3:32 AM

DOes anyone know if this is the newest runtime ?

>>>I created a setup using InstallShield and included the VFP 8 Runtime merge module (which included GDI+ and msvcrt70.dll). I then ran the install on the target machine with no errors. I finally tried to run my executable and got the old 'cannot locate support library' error.

>>>I checked against http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~VFPRuntimeFiles and found that all the specified files exist on the target machine. I tried moving the files to the app directory - still no dice.

>>>Target machine is Win2K server. Suggestions?
>>>
>>>Does anyone have a runtime install setup I can try?

>>>TIA

>Yes - positive. I also happen to have the VFP7 runtime installed on the target machine - so if I need to downgrade my EXE, I can.
