<s> the problem is not really with where the sport comes from... the problem is that Brazilians think that that's not a ball (c'mon, that's not really a ball <s>)... the sport could be called anything else but football... it could be something like "footSomething"... :)

I had a lot of fun when I was listening to a Houston radion station some weeks ago, and the guy just said something about soccer like: "people in Brazil get together to watch that sport that they call football, but that's not even a ball.". I just though: "Hey, in Brazil people just says the same, but the other way around!". :)
